Endings

Sub-Zero -

Sub-Zero is standing and Scorpion is on the ground.  Scorpion is saying how Sub-Zero may have defeated his physical being, but his spirit lives on and Sub-Zero has not really won.  Then Quan Chi comes out and knocks Sub-Zero on the back of the head, forcing Sub-Zero to fall to the ground where he remains.  Quan Chi walks over to Sub-Zero and starts telling him how Shinnok hired Scorpion to help him, and now they both must die.  Then Scorpion gets up and levitates Quan Chi.  Quan Chi yells "Scorpion!", and then while Scorpion is levitating Quan Chi a ball of energy comes from Scorpion's hands and Quan Chi explodes into pieces all over the screen.  Sub-Zero gets up and Scorpion tells Sub-Zero that he is now free of Scorpion's curse and should go.

Johnny Cage -

You see a picture of a stage with a podium, and then they announce Johnny Cage as the winner of an award.  Cage walks up, thanks a few people, and then ends it with "When am I going to get some real competition?"  The crowd then goes silent and Cage asks "Why the silence?", and then they all start to boo at him and you see different objects like wine bottles and other objects start to fly up and hit him as he dodges and blocks them.  Someone says "You suck!"  Cage then says "Hey I saw that Arnold!". Arnold (the man that says you suck) sounds just like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Jax -

Sonya appears on a cliff with Jarek and Sonya is telling Jarek that it's time to return with them, that he was just to help them defeat Shinnok, and how the Black Dragon disappeared with the death of Kano.  Jarek starts walking towards Sonya and backs Sonya into the corner of the cliff.  The camera then does a zoom in and out effect.  Then he gets angry and he charges at Sonya.  She then steps to the side.  Jarek falls to his doom and Sonya gets on the radio and calls Jax, but there is no response at first.  Jax then says "Yeah Sonya?"  Then you see Jarek climb up the cliff and pull Sonya over.  Sonya is now dead.  Jarek gets up and steps on the walkie talkie.  Jarek starts to walk away, then looks up and sees Jax.  Jax asks Jarek where he is going.  Then Jax picks up Jarek by the neck and walks over to the edge of the cliff and holds him over the cliff.  Jarek says how it's Jax's duty to bring him in and arrest him and he keeps saying "Arrest me, arrest me!!! This is brutality!!!!" And then Jax says the punch line, "No Jarek, this is not a brutality, It's a FATALITY!!!"  Jax then drops Jarek and you get to see him fall into nothingness.

Scorpion -

Scorpion is saying how he finally gets revenge for the death of his clan.  Then Sub-Zero says that he is getting revenge on the wrong person.  Scorpion asks who the real killer is as Quan Chi walks up and says that he is.  Quan Chi then tells Scorpion that it's time to return to the Netherealm as you start to see Scorpion fade as a bright light appears behind him.  But before he totally disappears, he runs over to Quan Chi and takes Quan Chi with him to the Netherealm.  They both end up in Scorpion's Hell stage from UMK3, but now it's in 3D.  Quan Chi starts to yell in terror as the camera zooms in to Quan Chi as he keeps yelling.

Reiko -

In the arcade version, a portal opens and Reiko walks throught it.  In the home versions he goes through the portal.  He sits in Shao Kahn's throne and Shao Kahn's mask floats down onto his face.  This means...Reiko is Shao Kahn!

Liu Kang -

Liu Kang is in the dojo.  He is saying how he failed to save Kitana and her home land by winning the tournment.  Then Kitana apears through a portal and says that she and her home world are alright.  Then she asks for Liu Kang to come with her so they could be King and Queen.  Liu Kang refuses,  saying he can't leave Earth.  He must stay and protect it.  Kitana accepts, and leaves.

Quan Chi -

Shinnok and Quan Chi are together and Shinnok is thanking Quan Chi for helping him.  Shinnok tells Quan Chi that his payment is that he will let him live.  Quan Chi is outraged.  After all the work he had done, all he gets is to live?  Quan Chi starts yelling at Shinnok.  Shinnok then shoots an energy ball at Quan Chi, but it stops in front of him.  Quan Chi laughs as Shinnok looks flabergasted.  Quan Chi then tells Shinnok that he has the real amulet and the one Shinnok has is an exact replica that Quan Chi had contracted for him.  Quan Chi then sends the energy ball back at Shinnok and it kills him.

Reptile -

Reptile is talking with Quan Chi.  He is telling him that he has served Shinnok well and he wants to be sent back in time to before his race was wiped out by Shao Kahn.  Quan Chi tells Reptile that this is not a resonable request.  Reptile continues to say that it is what he deserves.  Shinnnok then appears and grabs reptile by the neck.  Reptile keeps saying he deserves it. Shinnok says that he is not a god of promises and then he kills Reptile.

Sonya -

Sonya and Jarek are both on a cliff edge.  Sonya tells Jarek that she will be taking him back with her.  Jarek refuses and backs Sonya to the edge of the cliff.  The camera then zooms away showing Sonya at the edge of the cliff.  Sonya tells him the Black Dragon Society is dead, it had died when Kano died.  Jarek rushes at Sonya with a big NO!!  Sonya side-steps and Jarek runs right past her and falls off of the cliff. Sonya then radios Jax.

Jarek -

Jarek and Sonya are on a cliff.  Sonya tells Jarek that she has to take him back with her. Jarek refuses and backs Sonya to the edge of the cliff.  The camera then zooms away showing Sonya at the edge of the cliff.  Jarek says that he won't go with her and that the Black Dragon society lives on!  Jarek then rushes at Sonya.  Sonya side-steps and Jarek runs right past her and falls off of the cliff.  Sonya radios Jax, but then you see Jarek's hand grab Sonya's ankle and pull her off of the cliff.  Jarek climbs back up and smashes Sonya's radio and laughs aloud.

Kai -

Kai is on a cliff edge and Raiden appears.  Raiden asks him what he will do now.  Kai says he is leaving the monks to find himself and do some soul searching.  Raiden understands and gives Kai his staff which will allow him to live forever.

Fujin -

Fujin talks to the Elder Gods.  They tell him he did a good job.  Then Raiden appears and tells Fujin that he has now become an elder god and he must choose a new protector for Earth. So, he chooses Fujin to be the new protector.  Fujin accepts.

Raiden -

Raiden floats up into the air and a light appears.  The Elder Gods invite Raiden to become an Elder God.  He accepts, but he must choose a new protecter of Earth.  He chooses Fujin.

Tanya -

Tanys walks with Liu Kang down a tunnel which leads to Scorpion's Furnace.  They see Quan Chi and Shinnok talking.   Liu finds out that this is a trap set up by Shinnok and Quan Chi, and Shinnok kills Liu Kang.

Shinnok -

Raiden is floating and attack's Shinnok, but it seems to have no effect.  Shinnok then tells Raiden he shouldn't have attacked him and easily kills Raiden.
